Reporting
Faction generates assessment reports from DOCX templates that you design in Word. These pages cover the template variables, the editors, custom variables and the checklists that can be printed in the report.
- Using Docx Report Templates — every
${variable}a template can use, vulnerability tables and blocks, report sections, severity colours and CSS formatting. - Using Markdown in Reports — capture attack steps quickly with Markdown and have them rendered into the report.
- Table of Contents Numbering — why page numbers in the table of contents need a refresh in Word, and how to do it.
- Custom User Defined Variables — add your own fields to vulnerabilities and assessments and print them in the report.
- Assessment Checklists — enforce a checklist per assessment type, block finalization until it is complete, and add it to the report.
- Rich Text Custom Variables (Enterprise) — custom variables that hold formatted text, images and tables.
- Importing Your Vulnerability Templates Via the API — load your existing vulnerability library into Faction with the REST API.
